Vacation Bible School 2020

We are so grateful for our VBS families and community and want to update you on plans for Vacation Bible School 2020.

As many of you know National Presbyterian Church is about to undergo a major construction project to make our space more welcoming, functional, and easier to navigate. We are thrilled about the opportunities that this project will open up for us in the future. However, the 12-16 month construction project that will take place in our main building, beginning in June of 2020, will present some challenges for our ongoing programs—including VBS.

This summer our Vacation Bible School will need to relocate to our smaller outer buildings—decreasing the number of campers we will be able to accommodate by a significant 50%, to a total of 70. This means that in 2020 we can only offer VBS to members of NPC and the National Presbyterian School community. We know that this news will be disappointing to many of our friends from other church communities, but hope you understand and will join us again in future summers when our construction is completed.

Don’t want to miss out on VBS? We have relationships with other faith communities in the area that provide VBS summer programs. We would be happy to recommend you! Please contact Cate McCrory, Director of Children’s Ministries for recommendations.

At VBS this summer kids will discover that Jesus’ love provides a foundation that will last! We are all a work in progress but God has good plans for our lives. Life may be a hard hat zone, but just wait ‘til you see what God will do! Vacation Bible School is a week packed full of faith and fun for 4-year-olds to rising 5th graders. During VBS we will do service projects, play outdoor games, make cool crafts, eat yummy snacks, sing and dance to awesome music, and learn stories from the Bible. We're excited for this fun-filled week!
