Serving at Home: You can always make a difference!

During this time of social distancing, most of our on-campus activities have been put on hold. We are looking forward to resuming them! Until then, we want you to know that your participation is crucial to our mission. Here are several stay-safe/stay -healthy opportunities:

  • Everyone—adults, youth and children—can use our 31-day Mission Prayer  Calendar to pray for our mission partners.
  • Everyone is invited to join a Mission Meetup by Zoom to learn what our partners are doing, how we can pray for them, and what we can do to help them. Watch the Sunday bulletins and weekly newsletter for dates and times.
  • Everyone is invited to our drive-thru food collections for local partners who are serving many more hungry and homeless due to the pandemic. Our collections have provided thousands of pounds of non-perishables as well as several thousand dollars in gift cards to local partners. Food drive dates and times are posted in regular communications.
  • Volunteer to help out at a food drive by completing a form linked to the event announcements.

Our Mission

There are many ways for you to serve the city! God has called us to:

  • proclaim Jesus as Lord and Savior,
  • care for the vulnerable, and
  • build up the church.

You can do these every day, and participate in events at National from monthly sandwich making for the homeless, to supporting missions as you celebrate Christmas. In addition, download a copy of our Mission Prayer Calendar to pray each day for our mission partners in DC and around the world.
