Explore the thought-provoking questions posed by Jesus in the four gospels during the sermon series 'The Questions Jesus Asked' at National Presbyterian Church. Join us June 25th to September 3rd as we delve into eleven poignant questions that challenge our thinking, reveal Jesus's character, and inspire growth in faith.
The Questions Jesus Asked
In the four gospels, Jesus asked approximately 307 questions.[1] His questions were often challenging and thought-provoking. They invited people to examine their hearts and consider their priorities, but they also revealed Jesus’s own character and identity.
On Sundays, June 25th- September 3rd, we will consider eleven poignant questions.
Here are some possible reasons why Jesus asked questions:
- To teach and to challenge people’s thinking.
- To reveal his own identity and mission.
- To provoke growth in faith and understanding.
- To connect with people on a personal level.
- To spur change.
Jesus’ questions are still relevant today. They will encourage us to think Christianly, grow in faith, to understand ourselves better, and to make a difference in the world.
