Our church contains many members who have professions in the sciences, engineering or medicine. We invite you to join us as we get to know each other better and seek to apply God’s word to grow in wisdom. Our first reading was The Road to Wisdom by Dr. Francis Collins, the scientist who led the human genome project at NIH. Fall 2025 we begin Science and Faith in Harmony by another local author, Dr. Sy Garte. The group will choose selections after this, with a preference for recent books and an option to have Zoom calls with the authors.

We meet once a month on Zoom at 8 – 9pm on third Thursdays. We also hope to arrange luncheon meetings quarterly at NPC. For more information please reach out to Paul Arveson at paularveson@gmail.com

We will encourage members to do their own writing, with an emphasis on how to communicate specialized knowledge to the public.

Our goal is to follow James 3:17:
“The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercies and good fruits, without uncertainty or insincerity.”
