Introducing Rev. Dr. Raymond I. Hylton, Sr.
April 30, 2023 Update: The National Presbyterian Church Session and Pastor Nominating Committee are overjoyed to announce that the Rev. Dr. Raymond I. Hylton, Sr. has been selected and approved by congregational vote to be our next senior pastor. We look forward to welcoming Dr. Hylton and his wife Judith to the NPC family on Sunday, June 11th. Please join us in prayers of joy and thanksgiving we embark together on this new stage of God’s journey for us at NPC. Let’s pray for Dr. and Mrs. Hylton as they make their transition and give thanks to God for the work and vision of the leadership that contributed to the search effort.

February 19, 2023 Update: NPC's Session has called a congregational meeting for April 30, 2023, after the 11:00 am worship service to vote on the PNC's nomination of Dr. Raymond I. Hylton, Sr. as our new senior pastor.
February 2023 Update: Our Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) has concluded its process of interviewing candidates. You are invited to hear an update from the PNC on Sunday, February 19 in the sanctuary after the 11:00 am service. This update will not be broadcast, but a written update will be emailed to all congregation members and regular attenders by 12:30 pm. (Sunday's update is not a formal congregational meeting, and no actions or votes will be taken.)

The PNC invites you to pray with and for them, and the final candidates, so that, together they will sense God's will for our church.
Summer, 2022: Our Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) is hard at work and making progress! They have been interviewing candidates and will soon focus on a few finalists. As the PNC seeks to discern God’s call to the next Senior Pastor of NPC, prayer is an important part of the process. The PNC invites you to pray with and for them, and the final candidates, so that, together, they will sense God's will for our church.
In January 2022, the NPC Session approved the Ministry Information Form (MIF), which introduces our congregation to pastors who may be exploring a call to serve at NPC. Welcome, prospective pastors! We invite you to read NPC's MIF below.
On October 31, 2021, the members of National convened a congregational meeting and accepted the Congregational Nominating Committee's slate of nominees for the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC).

The CNC reviewed each candidate carefully and nominated them in light of the need to have a Pastor Nominating Committee that can represent the interests of the entire congregation in the selection of a new Senior Pastor.
