You’re invited to be part of a “Welcome Home” event to transform an empty house into a home for a family transitioning from homelessness. As part of a 7 to 15 member team, you’ll help clean as needed, move in furniture and arrange it, make beds, stock the pantry, organize the kitchen, and share a welcome home meal with the family.
“Welcome Home” events are organized by LightHouse DC, the only nonprofit in the metro area that consistently transforms bare rooms into bright, comfortable spaces for individuals and families without homes. Watch how we did it for the Braddock family in 2020.
